Regular Season Round 2: Snaefell - Haukar 84-89

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Snaefell (1-1) in Stykkisholmur on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Haukar (2-0) 89-84. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 46-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Alex Francis (198-91, college: Bryant, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Emil Barja (192-91) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists during the contest. The former international forward Sigurdur Thorvaldsson (201-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and American forward William Nelson (200-89, college: LSU-Shreveport) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Four Haukar and five Snaefell players scored in double figures. Haukar is looking forward to face Fjolnir in Reykjavik in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Snaefell will play on the road against Skallagrimur in Borgarnes and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
