The game in Sauoarkrokur supposed to be also worth to mention about. Thor Thorl (1-1) played at the court of Tindastoll (2-0). Tindastoll did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 110-90. The game was mostly controlled by Tindastoll. Thor Thorl was better in fourth quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tindastoll forced 25 Thor Thorl turnovers and outrebounded them 51-17 including a 22-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Thor Thorl's players. Thor Thorl was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Myron Dempsey (203-91, college: Paul Quinn) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) supported him with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Tomas Tomasson (193-91, college: Newberry) added 19 points and 4 steals for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Thor Thorl's coach Benedikt Gudmundsson rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Tindastoll will play against KR in Reykjavik in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Thor Thorl will play at home against Keflavik to get more than just one victory in their record.
