Regular Season Round 7: Barreteros - Jefes 77-101

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Barreteros (2-5) were outscored by seventh ranked Jefes (4-3) in Zacatecas 101-77 on Thursday. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for forward Dan Jennings (206-90, college: Long Beach St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Jefes' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Devon Pearson (198-84, college: SMU) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jason Horton (188-86, college: Missouri) added 10 points and 10 assists in the effort for Barreteros. Five Jefes and four Barreteros players scored in double figures. Jefes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Barreteros at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Jefes will face Panteras in Aguascalientes in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barreteros will play at home against Fuerza Regia and hope to win that game.
