Regular Season Round 3: Agrigento - Tezenis VE 75-86

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Agrigento (2-1) at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Tezenis VE (3-0) 86-75. The game was mostly controlled by Tezenis VE. Agrigento was better in second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Darryl Monroe (198-86, college: George Mason) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. point guard Alessandro Piazza (174-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 assists and 5 steals and American guard Pendarvis Williams (198-91, college: Norfolk St.) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Agrigento in the defeat. Four Agrigento players scored in double figures. Tezenis VE will play against Lighthouse TR in Trapani in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Agrigento will play on the road against Novipiu Casale and hopes to get back on the winning track.
