Bnei Hasharon was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Nes Ziyona 91-87 on Friday night. Ironi Nes-Ziona outrebounded Bnei Hasharon 43-30 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Naturalized Welsh Tal Michael Dunne (196-87) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Craig Smith (201-83, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. International point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and forward Oz Blayzer (199-92) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ironi Nes-Ziona and five Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Ironi Nes-Ziona will meet at home Maccabi Ashdod in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Holon and hope to win that game.
