Regular Season Round 3: Rybnik - Gdynia 62-59

A very close game took place in Rybnik between Rybnik and Gdynia. Rybnik (1-2) got a very close home victory over Gdynia (0-3). Rybnik managed to escape with a 3-point win 62-59 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 35-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rybnik made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Gdynia outrebounded Rybnik 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian forward Kateryna Rymarenko (185-90) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Angelica Henry (165, college: Co.Carolina) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (190-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Dominika Miloszewska (190-94) added 13 points respectively. Rybnik will meet Widzew in the next round. Gdynia will play against AZS UMCS and hopes to get finally their first victory.
