Regular Season Round 3: AZS Koszalin - Trefl Sopot 88-60

AZS Koszalin delivered the third consecutive victory. This time they crushed Trefl (1-2) 88-60. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Koszalin. Trefl was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Koszalin dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl's 26. They outrebounded Trefl 43-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Qyntel Woods (202-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Willie Kemp (185-87, college: Memphis, agency: KMG Sports Management) answered with 14 points and international Michal Michalak (197-93) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Trefl. Five AZS Koszalin and four Trefl players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS Koszalin will play against Stelmet in Zielona Gora in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl will play at home against Asseco to get more than just one victory in their record.
