Regular Season Round 3: DCU Saints - UL Eagles 96-62

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of UL Eagles (1-1) in Dublin on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by DCU Saints (2-1) 96-62. DCU Saints shot 62.9 percent from the field. They also forced 24 UL Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 49-24 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for DCU Saints especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for international center Martins Provizors (202-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Mick Odwyer helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Stephen King (196-86) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DCU Saints are looking forward to face Neptune Cork on the road in the next round. UL Eagles will play against Dublin Inter and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
