Regular Season Round 4: Sudety - Miedzychod 91-68

There was a small surprise in Jelenia Gora where eighth ranked Sudety (2-2) outleveled 5th ranked Miedzychod (2-2) 91-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sudety. Miedzychod was better in second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Miedzychod to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Sudety dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Miedzychod's 28 and made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Sudety forced 20 Miedzychod turnovers. Miedzychod was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) who added 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Sudety players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Jakub Nowak (188-89) responded with 16 points and Lukasz Ulchurski (185-90) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sudety moved-up to fourth place in Group D, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Miedzychod. Sudety will face Kalisz (#5) on the road in the next round. Miedzychod will play against Rawia and hope to win that game.
