Regular Season Round 5: Shiga L-Stars - Osaka Evessa 81-59

Very expected game when 8th ranked Osaka Evessa (1-4) was rolled over on the road by leader Shiga L-Stars (5-0) 81-59 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Shiga L-Stars outrebounded Osaka Evessa 48-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Yu Okada (184-83) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Shiga L-Stars' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: USC Aiken) produced 22 points and the other American import swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St., agency: Interperformances) added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Shiga L-Stars. They maintain second place with 5-0 record having just -1 point less than leader Kyoto Hannar. Osaka Evessa lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face again Osaka Evessa (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
