Regular Season Round 4: Cieszyn - AZS PCz 75-81

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked AZS PCz (2-2) won against on the road bottom-ranked Cieszyn (0-4) 81-75 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-15. But Cieszyn won second period 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marcin Bluma (201-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Patryk Gospodarek (184-94) who added 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four AZS PCz players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Adam Hajduk (190-83) responded with 26 points and 4 assists and center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PCz moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Alba Chorzow and Polonia Bytom. Cieszyn at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. AZS PCz will have a break next round. Cieszyn will play on the road against Polonia Bytom (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
