Regular Season Round 5: Levice - Nova Ves 93-73

No shocking result in a game when leader Levice (4-0) crushed at home Nova Ves (2-3) 93-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 55-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Levice outrebounded Nova Ves 39-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and Serbian center Milan Oluic (210-84) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Levice players scored in double figures. Montenegrin point guard Goran Bulatovic (184-88) came up with 25 points and 4 assists and American forward Stan Brown (203-90, college: Lamar) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Nova Ves in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Levice. They maintain second place with 4-0 record behind leader Rieker KN. Nova Ves at the other side keep the sixth position with three games lost. Levice will meet league's leader Rieker KN in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Inter Bratislava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
