Regular Season Round 3: Cambados - Marin 76-78

Another exciting game for Marin (2-1) which played on the court of Cambados (1-2). Marin upset home team edging them after exciting game by two points 78-76. It looked good early as Cambados took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Marin had a 22-17 second period charge getting the lead and Cambados was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-78. Cambados was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Nigerian forward Ike Azotam (201-91, college: Quinnipiac) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Manuel Ferreiro (186-90) helped adding 6 points and 4 assists. Four Marin players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Cuban point guard Taylor Garcia (182-87, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Marin will play against Caceres Basket at home in the next round. Cambados will play against Canarias in Gran Canaria to get more than just one victory in their record.
