Very predictable result in Gdynia where Asseco (2-1) beat Wilki Morskie (0-3) 88-79 on Saturday. Asseco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Ovidijus Galdikas (217-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks. American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) helped adding 22 points. Four Asseco players scored in double figures. Asseco's coach David Dedek used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Asseco will meet Trefl in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wilki Morskie will play against Anwil in Wloclawek and hopes to get finally their first victory.
