Regular Season Round 2: Maccabi T-A - Hapoel Holon 89-73

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Hapoel Holon (1-1) in Tel-Aviv on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Maccabi T-A (2-0) 89-73. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Holon managed to win second period 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia) who scored 20 points. International point guard Yogev Ohayon (189-87) chipped in 10 points and 7 assists. American point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Three Eye Sports) produced 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and naturalized American power forward Isaac Rosefelt (204-85, college: St.Thomas) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi T-A is looking forward to face Hapoel Eilat on the road in the next round. Hapoel Holon will play against Bnei Hasharon and is hoping to win this game.
