An interesting game for Toyota Alvark (3-1) which hosted in Tokyo Hokkaido L. (1-3). Toyota Alvark had an easy win 100-76. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota Alvark. Hokkaido L. was better in fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toyota Alvark dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Hokkaido L.'s 42 and made 28-of-33 charity shots (84.8 percent) during the game, while Hokkaido L. only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Hokkaido L. 42-23 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Hokkaido L. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. His fellow American import forward Philip Ricci (202-80, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
