Regular Season Round 4: Notec - Asseco II 75-45

Everything could happen in Inowroclaw at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Notec and one of their biggest challengers Asseco II had identical 1-1 record. This time Notec used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Gdynia 75-45 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group A. The game without a history. Notec led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco II's 16. Notec forced 22 Asseco II turnovers and outrebounded them 48-21 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mikolaj Grod (194-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kamil Maciejewski (188-91) who added 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-95) responded with 19 points and naturalized Chilean forward Christopher Paredes (194-90, college: Simon Fraser) scored 7 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Notec (2-1) moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Asseco II dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Notec will face league's second-placed AZS PGd in Gdansk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asseco II will play at home against the league's leader Trefl II Sopot (#1) and hope to win that game.
