Regular Season Round 3: Zabok - Ribola Kastela 116-110 OT

Ribola Kastela (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of KK Zabok on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by KK Zabok in overtime 116-110. Ribola Kastela was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 17-13 charge of KK Zabok, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-11. KK Zabok looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Marin Zrnic (201-88) who scored 31 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Forward Petar Maric (196-87, college: Lincoln Trail CC, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 24 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Damir Rancic (199-83, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who recorded 46 points (!!!) and 4 assists and guard Nikola Dosen (190-91) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Zabok is looking forward to face KK Split on the road in the next round. Ribola Kastela will have a break next round.
