Regular Season Round 4: IK Eos - Boras II 76-86

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Lund. Second ranked Boras II faced top-ranked IK Eos. Guests from Boras (3-1) defeated host IK Eos (3-1) 86-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of IK Eos. It was a key game for the top position in South. The game was mostly controlled by Boras II. IK Eos managed to win fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boras II forced 22 IK Eos turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by IK Eos' players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Emil Lundstedt (180-94) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Simon Gunarsson (195-95) who added 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Boras II players scored in double figures. Boras II's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side FYR Macedonian-Icelandic forward Jovan Zdravevski (198-80) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Christoffer Henriks (186-92) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Boras II keeps a position of South leader, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated IK Eos. Boras II will meet Malbas (#4) in the next round. IK Eos will play against Eskilstuna and hope to secure a win.
