Regular Season Round 3: Boulazac - Denain 65-63

Denain Voltaire (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Boulazac Basket. Visitors were edged by Boulazac Basket 65-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Denain Voltaire won fourth quarter 15-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Denain Voltaire was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for British forward Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) helped adding 8 points. The best for the losing side was center Jerry Boutsiele (207-94) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized DR Congolese point guard Henry Kahudi (194-91) scored 9 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Boulazac Basket will play against ALM Evreux on the road in the next round. Denain Voltaire will play against Chorale de Roanne and hopes to get back on the winning track.
