But Rivas Ecopolis was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Las Palmas 76-63 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Gran Canaria. Rivas Ecopolis was better in fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rivas Ecopolis 43-29 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Gran Canaria especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Gran Canaria will face Universitario de Ferrol at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rivas Ecopolis will play against Gipuzkoa UPV and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
