West Coast Waves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. West Coast Waves players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Adelaide Lightning was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lindsey Moore (175-91, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. point guard Sarah Graham (163-89) contributed with 15 points and 8 assists for the winners. International center Laura Hodges (191-83) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Kathleen Scheer (187-89, college: Duke) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide Lightning. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. West Coast Waves will play against Townsville Fire on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Adelaide Lightning will play against Dandenong Rangers to get more than just one victory in their record.
