Regular Season Round 4: Malbas - Helsingborg 101-74

Everything went according to plan in Malmo where fourth ranked Malbas (3-1) outleveled 6th ranked Helsingborg (3-3) 101-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Malbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Helsingborg's 32 and made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. Malbas forced 22 Helsingborg turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Helsingborg was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Fredrik Larsson (200-93) fired 30 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. Guard Max Johansson (195-92) produced 16 points and Lithuanian center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malbas keep a position of South leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Helsingborg keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Malbas will face league's leader Boras II at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Helsingborg will play against the league's second-placed Trelleborg (#2) and hope to win that game.
