Regular Season Round 3: Wikana-Start - Stabill Jezioro 79-65

Wikana Start used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Tarnobrzeg 79-65 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Wikana Start. Stabill Jezioro managed to win fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Stabill Jezioro 40-23 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Piotr Smigielski (195-89) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists. Four Wikana Start players scored in double figures. Wikana Start's coach Pawel Turkiewicz used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU, agency: SDJ Sports) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American Dominique Johnson (196-87, college: Azusa Pacific) scored 8 points and 7 assists. Wikana Start will meet AZS Polfarmex in the next round. Stabill Jezioro will play against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and hopes to get finally their first victory.
