Regular Season Round 6: Shinshu BW - Tokyo Cinq R. 87-75

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (3-3) lost to ninth ranked Shinshu BW (2-2) in Nagano 75-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Tokyo Cinq R. was better in fourth quarter 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds. American-Somalian forward Mohamed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. American center Will Foster (226-88, college: Gonzaga) replied with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Jemal Farmer (195-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Blacktop Management) added 16 points in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Shinshu BW maintains ninth position with 2-2 record. Loser Tokyo Cinq R. keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Shinshu BW will face league's second-placed Toyama Grouses on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
