Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Matera (1-3) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Ravenna (3-1) 79-67 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Eugenio Rivali (178-86) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Giacomo Cicognani (205-92, agency: Players Group) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Daniele Bonessio (200-88) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and American center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five Ravenna and four Matera players scored in double figures. Ravenna moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Matera lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Ravenna will face Recanati on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Matera will play against Aget Service IM and hope to win that game.
