No shocking result in a game when Torino (2-0) defeated on the road Broni (0-2) 62-57 on Sunday. Broni was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 20-12 charge of Torino, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 20 Broni turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Dalila Domizi (168-91) who scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Naturalized American point guard Brianne O'Rourke (172-87, college: Penn St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 11 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Bulgarian power forward Dimana Georgieva (190-88) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international forward Valeria De Pretto (185-91) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Torino will face Carugate in Corugate in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Broni will play at home against Milano and hopes to get finally their first victory.
