The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Tulikivi (3-1) in Deerlijk on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Liege (2-2) 80-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tulikivi. Tulikivi was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Liege forced 19 Tulikivi turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals. Center Laura Henket (183-98) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Liege players scored in double figures. The former international forward Angcle Boucquey (175-81) replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and center Shamira Linskens (179-91) added 12 points in the effort for Tulikivi. Liege moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Kangoeroes and Sint Katelijne. Tulikivi at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Waregem. Liege is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Basket Groot in Willebroek in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tulikivi will play on the road against Houthalen and is hoping to win this game.
