AV Cantu used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Avellino 74-65 on Sunday night. Air Avellino was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-8 charge of AV Cantu, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187-89, college: Marquette) notched 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Two Points) supported him with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by American-Nigerian power forward O.D. Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) did not help to save the game for Air Avellino. American guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) added 13 points for the guests. Air Avellino's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AV Cantu will meet Dolomiti En. TR in the next round where they are favorite. Air Avellino will play against VL Pesaro and hope to win that game.
