Regular Season Round 1: Nantes - COB Calais 81-48

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of COB Calais (0-1) on the court of Nantes Reze on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Nantes Reze 81-48. The game without a history. Nantes Reze led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Nantes Reze forced 26 COB Calais turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Isis Arrondo (166-89) fired 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) chipped in 13 points. Four Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. Nantes Reze's coach Emmanuel Coeuret felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jasmine Hassell (188-91, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Ukrainian-Bulgarian center Viktoria Mircheva (190-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Nantes Reze is looking forward to face Tarbes at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. COB Calais will play against Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan.
