A very interesting game took place in Nahariya. It ended with only two-point home defeat of Ironi Nahariya (0-3) to Galil Gilboa (2-1) 79-77 on Monday evening. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 21-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Galil Gilboa made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Galil Gilboa outrebounded Ironi Nahariya 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Ironi Nahariya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green, agency: KMG Sports Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Galil Gilboa and five Ironi Nahariya players scored in double figures. Ironi Nahariya's coach Roy Hagai rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Galil Gilboa's next round opponent will be Hapoel Jerusalem at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Nahariya will play against Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
