Very important is a home loss of ASA Jerusalem (0-1) against Maccabi Ramat Hen (1-0) on Monday night. Host ASA Jerusalem was crushed by Maccabi Ramat Hen in Jerusalem 90-67. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ramat Hen. ASA Jerusalem was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Ramat Hen forced 20 ASA Jerusalem turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kayla Thornton (185-92, college: UTEP) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Maccabi Ramat Hen players scored in double figures. Guard Daisy Feder (175-89, college: Cal-San Diego) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and center Marie Malone (191-89, college: Hofstra) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for ASA Jerusalem. Maccabi Ramat Hen's next round opponent will be Maccabi Ashdod at home. ASA Jerusalem will play against Hap.Petah Tikva and hope to win that game.
