Regular Season Round 6: Rieker KN - Levice 107-71

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Levice (4-1) in Komarno on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Rieker KN (6-0) 107-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Levice. The game was mostly controlled by Rieker KN. Levice managed to win third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rieker KN forced 20 Levice turnovers. Strangely Levice outrebounded Rieker KN 41-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. American point guard T.J. Bannister (180-84, college: Liberty, agency: KMG Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and Croatian forward Eddi Jurjevic (202-93) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rieker KN have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Levice at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. Rieker KN are looking forward to face league's second-placed Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Levice will play against Karlovka and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
