Regular Season Round 4: Kaspiy Aktau - BK Kapshagay 75-77

The most exciting game of round 4 in the D1 took place in Aktau. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Kaspiy Aktau (2-2) to top-ranked BK Kapshagay (2-0) 77-75 in the game for the second place. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 37-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. BK Kapshagay dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Kaspiy Aktau's 30. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian-Russian forward Yaya Adamou (196-82) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Dmitriy Gavrilov (203-86) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. BK Kapshagay's coach Dmitri Korovnikov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international center Sergei Kazantcev (210-84) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Vadim Scherbak (196-93) added 18 points in the effort for Kaspiy Aktau. Five Kaspiy Aktau players scored in double figures. BK Kapshagay moved-up to second place. Kaspiy Aktau at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. BK Kapshagay are looking forward to face league's leader Astana on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kaspiy Aktau will have a break next round.
