The game in Perth supposed to be also quite interesting. Kings (1-2) played at the court of Perth Wildcats (2-1). Perth Wildcats smashed Kings 84-63 on Friday. The game without a history. Perth Wildcats led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perth Wildcats forced 20 Kings turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Matthew Knight (204-85, college: Loyola Mary) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Jermaine Beal (191-87, college: Vanderbilt) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. International swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta St.) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Josh Childress (203-83, college: Stanford) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for Kings in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Perth Wildcats will meet Townsville Crocodiles in the next round. Kings will play against Cairns Taipans and hope to win that game.
