Very predictable result when seventh ranked Melilla Baloncesto (3-1) defeated at home 12th ranked Prat (1-3) 83-77 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 15 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Melilla Baloncesto made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Melilla Baloncesto made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek power forward Giorgos Tsiaras (207-82) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and swingman Carles Bravo (193-79) who added 18 points during the contest. Five Melilla Baloncesto players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Alex Ros (192-83) responded with 17 points and Montenegrin center Zoran Nikolic (209-96) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Prat's coach Agustin Julbe rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Melilla Baloncesto moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Prat keeps the twelfth position with three games lost.
