Regular Season Round 4: Penas Huesca - Coruna 83-73
Date: October 24, 2014
Lobe Huesca has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Leyma Basquet (2-2) 83-73. It looked good early as Leyma Basquet took an 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lobe Huesca took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 10 points. The winners were led by American forward Timothy Troutman (208-91, college: Elon) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Dario Brizuela (196-94) supported him with 18 points. Even 18 points and 4 steals by guard Jesus Castro (191-83) did not help to save the game for Leyma Basquet. Georgian Beka Burjanadze (203-94) added 19 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lobe Huesca (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Prat. Leyma Basquet at the other side keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Lobe Huesca will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leyma Basquet will play on the road against the league's leader Leche Rio Breogan (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
