Regular Season Round 4: Marin - Caceres 69-83
Date: October 25, 2014
Very significant was Caceres Basket's (#7) 83-69 road victory against 5th ranked Marin. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Marin. The game was mostly controlled by Caceres Basket. Marin was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by forward Fernando Fernandez (198-89, college: Hannibal-LG, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored that evening 16 points and 7 rebounds and American-Ugandan forward Brandon Sebirumbi (205-90, college: Furman, agency: Dynamics Global Management) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by Jamaican-American guard Garfield Blair (196-87, college: Stetson) did not help to save the game for Marin. American guard Gabe Rogers (188-90, college: N.Arizona) added 18 points for lost side. Five Caceres Basket and four Marin players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Caceres Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. Caceres Basket (3-1) moved-up to third place, which they share with Castello and Avila. Marin at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Cambados. Caceres Basket will play against bottom-ranked Canarias (#15) in Gran Canaria in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Marin will play on the road against Castello in Castellon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
