Very expected game when 9th ranked MKS DG 2 (1-4) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked WKK Wroclaw (3-1) 97-53 on Saturday. The game without a history. WKK Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 12 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. WKK Wroclaw forced 21 MKS DG 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 59-26 including a 41-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Marcin Kolowca (209-87) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Bartlomiej Rodak (180-96) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five WKK Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Mateusz Szczypinski (192-98) produced 18 points and point guard Patryk Wieczorek (187-96) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for WKK Wroclaw. They moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with MCKiS Jaworz. Newly promoted MKS DG 2 keeps the ninth position with four games lost. WKK Wroclaw will face Polonia Bytom on the road in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play against Mickiewicz (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
