We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Hiroshima where 3rd placed Dragonflies (3-2) were crushed by leader Aishin Sea Horses (3-0) 92-72 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-72. Aishin Sea Horses made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) who scored 29 points. Canadian center Scott Morrison (213-86, college: Portland St.) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. International power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Five Dragonflies players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aishin Sea Horses have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Dragonflies keep the third position with two games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will have a break next round. Dragonflies will play again at home against the league's second-placed Aishin Sea Horses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
