Damligan top team - Northland (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Akropol (1-3) in Spanga 86-62. The game without a history. Northland led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Northland forced 23 Akropol turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Martina Stalvant (176-89, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists and Canadian point guard Miah-Marie Langlois (173-91) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Northland players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Cecilia Ferm (178-75) responded with 28 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Nina Baresso (170-75) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Northland have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Umea. Newly promoted Akropol dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with Eos. Northland will play against 08 Stockholm (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Akropol will play against Norrkoping Dolphins to get more than just one victory in their record.
