Regular Season Round 5: Gimbasket Przemysl - LKS Lodz 86-57

Very expected game when bottom-ranked LKS Lodz (0-4) was rolled over on the road by leader Gimbasket Przemysl (3-0) 86-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Gimbasket Przemysl led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Gimbasket Przemysl forced 22 LKS Lodz turnovers. The best player for the winners was Artur Mikolajko (197-79) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Sylwester Kus (186-90) chipped in 16 points. Four Gimbasket Przemysl players scored in double figures. Patryk Wal (197-94) produced 14 points and center Damian Nowak (198-95) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gimbasket Przemysl. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. LKS Lodz lost their fourth game in a row. LKS Lodz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with four games lost. Gimbasket Przemysl will face Piaseczno (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LKS Lodz will play against Polonia W-wa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
