Regular Season Round 5: Nidaros Jets - Asker Aliens 72-84

The game in Tromdheim was also quite interesting. Leader Asker Aliens (3-0) played at the court of 6th ranked Nidaros Jets (1-4). Asker Aliens defeated Nidaros Jets 84-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Asker Aliens. Nidaros Jets managed to win third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Asker Aliens won last quarter 27-16. They also forced 24 Nidaros Jets turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Anders Stien (195-90) who scored 21 points. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Asker Aliens' coach Rob Knight used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Australian guard Matthew Adekponya (186-90, agency: Court Side) produced 23 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists and American power forward Brandon Moore (208-89, college: Southern, agency: SDJ Sports) added 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. The victory was the third consecutive win for Asker Aliens. They maintain second place with 3-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Tromso. Newly promoted Nidaros Jets keep the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Centrum. Asker Aliens will meet at home league's leader Tromso in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nidaros Jets will have a break next round.
