Regular Season Round 5: Nanterre - Boulogne 84-70

Date: October 25, 2014
Bottom-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (0-4) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked JSF Nanterre (4-1) 84-70 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-70. JSF Nanterre looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by SO Maritime Boulogne's players. The best player for the winners was center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (205-94) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Stephen Brun (202-80) produced 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Greek Angelo Tsagarakis (190-84) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for JSF Nanterre. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Limoges. SO Maritime Boulogne lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with four games lost. JSF Nanterre will meet SPO Rouen on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against STB Le Havre and hopes to get finally their first victory.
