No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Iskra Svit (5-2) smashed at home 7th ranked Nova Ves (2-5) 93-55. Iskra Svit dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 32. Iskra Svit forced 19 Nova Ves turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lakeem Jackson (196-89, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Dave Coley (188, college: Stony Brook) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Iskra Svit players scored in double figures. American forward Stan Brown (203-90, college: Lamar) answered with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian forward Andrija Hrkac (195-93) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Nova Ves. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Iskra Svit. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Prievidza. Nova Ves lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Iskra Svit will play against league's second-placed Rieker KN in Komarno in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nova Ves will play at home against Prievidza (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.
