Everything could happen in Kutno at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked AZS Polfarmex and 11th ranked Wikana Start had identical 1-2 record. This time AZS Polfarmex used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Lublin 88-72 on Saturday night. The game without a history. AZS Polfarmex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Wikana Start was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Kwamain Mitchell (178-89, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 7 steals. The other American import Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Jaroslaw Trojan (207-93) added 8 points in the effort for Wikana Start. Wikana Start's coach let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. AZS Polfarmex (2-2) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Wikana Start at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with three games lost. AZS Polfarmex will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wikana Start will play against Twarde Pierniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
