Serie A2 top team - Ferrara (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Virtus Cagliari (1-3) 75-41. The game without a history. Ferrara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ferrara forced 21 Virtus Cagliari turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-91, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Power forward Giulia Rulli (185-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Ferrara players scored in double figures. Ferrara's coach Francesco Iurlaro felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. German forward Annika Klein (190-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Sara Innocenti (170-92) added 11 points in the effort for Virtus Cagliari. Ferrara maintains first position in A2 with 4-0 record. Loser Virtus Cagliari keeps the eighth place with three games lost. Ferrara will face Alpo VR in Verona in the next round where they are favorite. Virtus Cagliari will play at home against Biassono and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
