Regular Season Round 4: Ippokratis - Terpsithea 75-68

Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Ippokratis and 5th ranked Terpsithea where host Ippokratis (1-3) won against Terpsithea (2-2) 75-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Terpsithea. Ippokratis dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Terpsithea's 40. Ippokratis forced 20 Terpsithea turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Terpsithea's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Talia Caldwell (188-91, college: California) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). point guard Zoi Kechagia (170-79) contributed with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Ippokratis' coach Michalis Kaplanidis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Danielle Spiliotis (185-90, college: Cedarville) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Alexandra Williams (183, college: St.Francis, PA) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Terpsithea. Ippokratis left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Anagenisi. Newly promoted Terpsithea keeps the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Athinaikos. Ippokratis will play against Olympiakos in Athens in the next round. Terpsithea will play at home against PAOK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
