There was no surprise when 13th ranked Tortona (1-4) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Treviglio (3-2) 70-57 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-57. The best player for the winners was the former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. Power forward Raphael Gaspardo (206-93) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Jaye Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Treviglio moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Tortona dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. Treviglio will face bottom-ranked Roseto on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tortona will play against Reggio Calabr. and hope to win that game.
