Regular Season Round 4: Maccabi Ashdod - Hapoel Holon 79-89

Date: October 26, 2014
Bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fourth ranked Hapoel Holon (3-1) 89-79 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Holon. Maccabi Ashdod was better in third quarter 19-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American power forward Isaac Rosefelt (204-85, college: St.Thomas) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American Tony Crocker (201-87, college: Oklahoma) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St.) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Yehu Orland (193-81) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Lior Lubin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Holon moved-up to third place, which they share with Ironi Nes-Ziona and Maccabi Rishon. Loser Maccabi Ashdod still closes the standings with four games lost. Hapoel Holon will face Maccabi Rishon in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round. Maccabi Ashdod will play on the road against Hapoel Eilat and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
